The Power of Stupid

The general agreement among Americans, to be stupid by choice, is overwhelming. Men, women, young people, politicians, preachers, doctors........ it is amazing. The reason people are stupid is seldom because they were born and raised to be stupid. The truth is, they learned, often at an early age, that to be stupid on purpose is the best way to escape from responsibility for everything, from breaking the law to dropping their fork.


Stupid people become masters at blaming other people for anything that has gone wrong. This, they believe, will relieve them of the responsibility they share in the problem. The classic one these days is the way Americans blame President Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Senator Reid for the horrible mess our nation is in economically. The stupid Americans forget that THEY elected these people to make that mess.


And, our illustrious stupid President simply passes on the blame on to George Bush. It is a tribute to George Bush that he is not blaming anyone. We just don't hear from him.


Ladies, here is something for you. Do you want to be look glamorous?

The art of stupid is most highly developed in teen age girls. They learn it from their mothers, and they find that they get what they want from young men-- attention.


Gentleman, I dare not leave you out.

You see, it is all about the look. Stupid, whether by regressive genes, or by choice, is best accomplished by the correct expression on your face. If you LOOK stupid, people will believe you are, and you will never have to think and respond to intelligent discussions or questions.


As to politicians, big bankers, school teachers, university professors, and church leaders, the following applies:

"Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity." Hanlon's Razor

Glenn (Blather) Beck, Gush Limbaugh, and Alex (the Jerk) Jones are masters at feeding stupid people ammunition, to use to blame those in power, of malice and evil plots to destroy America and trash our lives.


Not so. I concluded long ago that the vast majority of leaders and men in high places are simply stupid. They have risen, through luck or good choices, to a point way above their ability to function intelligently. Their actions are simply the result of being stupid and too lazy to inform themselves. This sort of person is also lacking in the moral character to do the right thing. So, they turn to the old game of padding their bank account at every opportunity.

This is why a bunch of Democratic politicians are raging mad now at Obama, Pelosi, and Rahm Emmanuel. These Democrat politicians allowed themselves to be herded along like the stupid lambs they are, and now they are going to lose their jobs.


During the 1970s a US Congressman was elected for a first term from South Dakots, as I recall. He was handed the usual pile of briefing papers to bring him up to speed on world issues and political affairs in general. He is said to have asked someone, as he was reading a briefing paper, "What is a Muslim?"


This is bad news and good news:


1. How can anyone who is worthy of public office NOT know what a Muslim is? He must have been intentionally stupid, thinking that if he lived in South Dakota he did not need to know that much to survive in life.

2. I give the man credit for asking for information. Some Senators would just as soon stay stupid.

So, we live in a nation where stupid, and wearing your baseball cap backwards, are high fashion. A Bible believer has NO choice-- he is not permitted to, by choice, stay stupid.

The most stupid character in the Bible is Satan, AKA Lucifer. Here he is trying to buy Jesus' loyalty to Satan by giving Jesus something he already owned:


Matthew 4:8 (KJV) Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

If you stay stupid, this is how you will one day think. You will actually believe you can fool intelligent people by buying them off with their own money. The amazing thing is, that is precisely what "entitlement" is in the USA. The US Government takes your tax money, and then they offer it back to you as entitlements if you will submit to Nanny.

And, millions do.

So, let us live each day as if we are the only person on earth with a brain that is in working mode. We must think for ourselves-- everyone around us is suspect at best. When we DO find a thinking person, we must make contact with them at once, and savor and keep healthy a social relationship with them. They are an endangered species.
