The Weird, Anti-Social Guy

Another day in paradise for me! It's getting a little easier, but not much and I still haven't quite adjusted to the fact that everything I have ever known (and loved) is now gone. I ended up going out last night, the lord knows why. Everyone wanted to "chill" and I'm really not a social drinker. I don't like alcohol, it's expensive as fuck and I am a dancer! Not a sitter. So... was over that pretty quick, still, good to see what bars are out there. Lots are a bit posh for me though, scored a free coke from a bar called Public which I was pretty rapped about.

Today I woke up at like 9am, dithered around until 11am and then found out that Oscar was going to town, who I recently made friends with again after a ridiculously immature fight towards the end of 2010 so I went to met him. We both ended up talking to nobody from our halls until like 4pm so we were rather anti-social, but holy god it was too good to hang out with someone I actually knew. Would've invited Rob but he was busy at lectures and getting tours etc. all day, I probably will be yesterday. Better go write down my time table, which is only really accessible from a noticeboard down the corridor a bit.

Went on a ferry ride this evening which was a bit boring but all of these activities we do are pretty much purely just to meet people and I can't say I've made any life-long friends just yet, but it is hard to click when you're meeting like 20 new people every hour and trying to remember their names and the things they tell you. The view of Wellington was quite nice and it was good for orientating myself, Wellington really isn't that big afterall, just really condensed, tall and a completely different landscape to good old Nelson. I definitely wouldn't want to live in Wellington, but for now it's a nice change. Well, nice-ish. Not gonna lie, this move has been brutal!

Anyway, been hanging with some randoms and... yah.
