We are looking at a super moon.
What is that? Answer: The moon has an apogee and a perigee. That is not as bad as having fleas though. What this means is that the moon, in its cycles of orbit around the earth, moves closer to us (perigee) and moves away from us (apogee) through a twenty year cycle.
In this era of "inconvenient truths" from Al "Fats" Gore, and other alleged terrors coming our way, this super moon gives us another opportunity to speculate ad nauseoum. Some of our egg heads, who justify their existence by finding terrors by day and night, have concluded that the moon could be contributing to earthquakes. It is certain that when the moon is nearest the earth, the tides run higher. That alone is cause to worry, but you will have to decide why for yourself. I have enough troubles of my own right now.
As to actual research into the effects of the super moon, I can tell you this-- when the moon was right overhead last night, it sucked all the water out of our water tank beside the house. Also, my neighbor, who is into his cups a lot, swears that he cannot remember anything when the moon is right overhead. This is called, by spaced scientists, the Budweiser effect.
So, wear a metal pyramid when you go out at night, and do a couple Auuuums facing the east, and you will get a great vision of things to come, like April 15 is coming, and you better get your taxes figured.
