The album debuted at number one on the American, Australian, Canadian, and Irish charts. It sold 136,000 copies in its first and 63,000 in its second week of release in the US,and saw the Glee cast beat the record previously set by The Beatles in 1966, for shortest span between first weeks at number one, just four weeks after they reached number one with the extended play Glee: The Music, The Power of Madonna. In Canada, 14,000 copies were sold in the first week of release, and 9,400 in the second. The album has been certified gold in both Australia and the United States.
Each of the songs included on the album were released as singles, available for digital download. The best-performing were "Gives You Hell", charting at the top position in Ireland, "Total Eclipse of the Heart", which charted at number 9 in the United Kingdom and number 16 in the US, and "Jessie's Girl" at number eight in Australia and number ten in Canada. 134,000 copies of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" were purchased in the US in its first week of release, making it the series' second best sales week ever, with only the début single "Don't Stop Believin'" registering bigger sales in its first week. "Jessie's Girl" has been certified gold in Australia, the only single other than "Don't Stop Believin'" to have reached this certification.Comparing the singles' chart positions with prior charted versions, Billboard noted that by reaching number 26, the Glee cast version of "Dream On" surpassed the original Aerosmith version, which peaked at number 59 in 1973 (but was re-released in 1976 and reached number 6). The cast's cover of "Physical" saw Olivia Newton-John make her first Hot 100 appearance since her remake of "I Honestly Love You" reached number 99 in 1998.

[OST] Tangled 2010
Tangled is a 2010 animated musical film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios. The film features the voices of Mandy Moore, Zachary Levi, and Donna Murphy, and the film is the 50th animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series. This film is rated PG, instead of G. The story is largely based on the German fairy tale Rapunzel by the Brothers Grimm. The film was originally titled and marketed as Rapunzel until it was changed to Tangled shortly before its release. It premiered in theatres and in 3D cinemas on November 24, 2010. To date, it is the second most expensive film ever made, and it is the most expensive animated film, with a budget of $260 million.
Original music was composed for the movie by 8-time Academy Award winner Composer Alan Menken with lyrics written by Glenn Slater. Menken said he attempted to blend medieval music with 1960s folk rock to create the new songs.
Several songs were written but eventually cut from the final film; "When Will My Life Begin?" replaced an earlier version called "What More Could I Ever Need?". Menken reported that that opening number went through five or six different versions.
Elsewhere, Menken reported that there was originally a love song called "You Are My Forever" that Mother Gothel sang to Rapunzel in a motherly way but was reprised later in the film by Flynn in a romantic way. This idea was apparently replaced with the two songs "Mother Knows Best" and "I See the Light".
The song "Something That I Want" performed by Grace Potter from Grace Potter and The Nocturnals is featured in the closing credits. This version features some of the lyrics that were re-written and sung by Potter herself. The Spanish version of the song, titled "Algo Quiero Querer", was recorded by Colombian pop-singer, Fanny Lú .
The album has peaked at no. 99 on the Billboard 200, no. 7 on the Soundtrack chart, and no. 3 on the Top Kids Albums chart
