Shouldn't be blogging, BUT...

Why not procrastinate my study another hour? I'm a shocker, well I haven't written an actual blog in days so here we go. Got a fair bit to talk about but I shall condense it as much as possible because I really need to do my fucking study, and that's official.

So on Thursday afternoon last week, Dad and I flew to Wellington for the Victoria University open day on Friday. We stayed with dad's friend (he knew from highschool, aka. a LONG time ago) and his wife in their lovely house in Karori. Dad has literally been talking about them for my entire life so it was nice to finally meet them and get a clue of who the F he's talking about.

So Friday we caught a bus to Karori, I like to consider myself a bit of a 'city boy' but honestly, in Nelson I'm basically sporting a bushshirt and rambling on about hunting and air rifles. I was SO overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of the big city, it's just crazy that people live like that, and I will be next year if I get into Uni! And that's a big IF. It's a very prestigious university and the hall I want to get into, typically, is the hardest in the whole fucking country. Honestly. Anyway, time to slave my life away because I need to get into University of my life literally has no purpose. Well and truly, and I will work minimum wage retail jobs for the rest of eternity. Unless someone rich with an amazing job offer is reading this blog, which in that case I'm available. (Yes Lady Gaga, I'll be your back-up dancer if I must be...)

So the open day was pretty cool, first I went to a lecture/seminar or whatever you wanna call it for the English faculty, and what I'm wanting to do, media studies. Unfortunately theatre, film, english and literature were all condensed into one talk and din't get the opportunity to ask questions which I was bummed about, but it was quite interesting still.

Than we went to a talk for Japanese which I was considering, but it sounds too hard and overall, a bit of a waste of time and too much work for no purpose, so may have to forfeit my eternal dreams of learning Japanese and understanding Koda Kumi and Ayumi Hamasaki's music. *sigh*

Than we went to an Accomodation talk and got some handy advice about where to stay and how to apply which was most useful, better get onto filling out my application this weekend. So scary, could find out by the end of September if I get in or not. NEED to get in, but their are some good alternatives... not good enough, but they'll do I guess. If I can't get a hall, I won't go to university - and that's official. Flatting is not happening.

Also I went to a talk for psychology which was interesting, but really I went to shut my dad up as he thinks media is heading down a narrow track, I don't think so, but whatever. I actually think I might do Media and Theatre, theatre is soo scary cause I can just imagine myself ending up playing some embarrassing character or doing something weird as F at some stage, but we'll see.

Need to decide SOON. So scary.

Anyway we went out for dinner on Friday night to some fancy posh restaurant that both my dad and I scoffed at, ended up being $90 for just our two meals. Ridiculous. The place was called "Finc." or Food Incorporated, so stupid - don't go there. The food was beautifully presented I must say, but after waiting about 45 minutes and paying the earth, you'd fucking hope so. The cheapest meal on the menu was literally $25, so not so much a bargain and a pretty small serving.

Anyway, flew back to Nelson on Saturday morning and... well, yeah.
