The Trevor Project is an American national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) youth that has been thrust into the limelight lately as a result of the four highly publicized teenage suicides linked to bullying as a result of their sexual orientation.
Tonnes of celebrities have spoken out and recorded videos regarding these issues, for example comedienne (and one of my faves) Kathy Griffin, "Glee" star Chris Colfer, actress Anne Hathaway and actor ("Harry Potter" star) Daniel Radcliffe have recorded videos in support of this cause. Ellen DeGeneres even dedicated a chunky segment of her daily talk-show to discuss the cause.
