JAKARTA - THE great-granddaughter of late Indonesian dictator Suharto has been arrested in a drug bust in Jakarta, police said Sunday.
Putri Aryanti Haryowibowo, 22, was arrested on Friday morning at a hotel room in the south of the capital, according to Jakarta narcotics police chief Anjan Pramuka Putra.
'Yes, we have arrested her. We're still investigating and developing (the case),' he told reporters via a text message.
'As for evidence, we got 0.8 grammes (of methamphetamine) from Putri when we arrested her and 30 grammes from the others,' he added.
Haryowibowo was arrested with five others, The Jakarta Globe newspaper reported.
Police also seized 60kg of suspected methamphetamine and 40,000 ecstasy pills in a raid on Saturday night in Tangerang city outside Jakarta, national police spokesman Boy Rafli Amar told reporters. -- AFP
