February Blogging Statistics: Peak TDS?
After experiencing rapid growth for the previous four months, The Downward Spiral Blog dipped slightly in page views for February with a bit over 57,000 views, down from just over 60,000 in January. I would note, however that the average page views per day was actually slightly higher during Leap Month and has been running nearly 2,000 per day.
I figure at this point I'm probably getting close to maxing out on the natural audience for the kind of stuff I write here. I've noticed that the lion's share of blogs who occupy this peculiar corner of the 'Net have a strong conservative/libertarian slant to them. That makes me a bit of an oddball in this territory--hardcore lefty that I am on most issues. Not that the whole left-right paradigm still means all that much anymore, but if Eugene Debs were alive today I'd be among his most ardent supporters, even if he was still in prison for emphatically telling that evil old bastard Woodrow Wilson to shove his Great War up his ass.
Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks once again thanks for reading, and if anyone is of a mindset, the print-on-demand book version of the blog is available at the link in the right column right below the page view counter.
Bonus: Why do I do this blog? Because I'd love to Change the World Around
