Out of the box is the debut album (mini album?) by former Sweetbox vocalist Jade Valerie. The lead single is Just Another Day, which has has a totally gorgeous music video. Also check out Uh La La which has a Fergie London Bridge kind of sound, except not annoying.

This is the newest project from Jade Valerie (former vocalist for Sweetbox) and long time producer Geo. The album is a collaboration with Japanese violinist Emiri Miyamoto and uses samples from famous Japanese and Korean classical pieces.

I am dying over how good ETERNITY∞'s first album is, Jade and Geo really have cooked up something amazing! I love the intro of 'Wonderful World', and how it's sort of a nod to the old die-hard fans of Sweetbox.

[Obsession of the Week] S.H.E

I love this band S.H.E, they're a Chinese triple-threat girl group that write songs and cover other songs. S.H.E were drawn to my attention when they covered my fave singer Jade Valerie's songs 'Crush' and 'Like a Bird'. It was then brought to my attention they had also previously covered Jade's songs throughout her Sweetbox career, including Everytime, my all time favourite Sweetbox song! Well it was for a long time, now I'm tending to like 'Beautiful Girl'.

S.H.E's my recent album 'FM S.H.E' was awesome as it had little interludes of radio-like discussions between the group members (in Chinese unfortunatley, so I can't understand) but it's a fun idea and a shame American singers never try anything interesting. Also, Japanese songs have much more interesting album names and track names. Much cooler.

Anyway, S.H.E are great and look I managed to get this 'Obsession of the Week' in before the new week, haha. Like, five minutes til it's Monday! :P

[Obsession of the Week] ETERNITY 8

'ETERNITY 8' is Jade Valerie and her producer Geo's latest project, I'm not totally sure if the name is just 'Eternity' or 'Eternity 8' but the number '8' has been floating around for a while, and it sounds kind of cool. '8' is the Japanese lucky number after all! Or was it Chinese? I forgot, eitherway; Jade has some awesome new songs up on the new myspace page which you can (aka. will) go to by checking here. It's really awesome and you need to go look at it!

The reason Jade is releasing under this name instead of 'Jade Valerie' I think is so that on this record she can use the classic sampling she always used throughout her time in 'Sweetbox' and this leaves her to trial a different style under her own name. Check the myspace out!
