You've Come A Long Way, KJB

__

Sorry for the stereotype, but this Russian band looks like it is made up of a bunch of KJB agents who were forced to find other work than snuffing disloyal agents.

And, why not?
I cannot think of a more satisfying symbolic way to win the cold war-- Willis Conover, American Jazz Hour on Voice of America. Take the A Train

We win with jazz and Levi's. Love it. Hope you do too.

That thug on the sax sure makes me feel better about Russia. Now, if we could just convince Vladimir Putin to join the band and play a guitar........

When our contemporaries (circa 1957) in the USA were bee-bopping to Elvis and the Everley Brothers, we at Rift Valley Academy, a missionary kid's boarding school in Kenya, were hunkered over the shortwave radio listening to The Jazz Hour and Willis Conover. Our records were mostly Glenn Miller and Benny Goodman. We were living in ancient history, but we thought of Elvis and a sex maniac who made up for his lousy music with sex perversion.

It turns out, I was right. I learned from a young lady who was a victim of Elvis's sex perversion orgies-- Elvis was a dog, and I think that is being careless with the dogs.

We have a culture that is profane and juvenile in the extreme. The sorry thing about it is that allegedly mature adults are just as taken with the hog slop as the young people.

Now, if you want culture, you will have to go all the way back to the 1950s to get it.
