The efforts at Fukushima are at best many months away from stabilization and years away from any sort of a final resolution. This crisis is going to be with all of us for a very long time with radioactive material continuing to escape from the complex into the environment adding a staggering amount of nuclear pollution into the world.

Things seem relatively calm at the moment with no more explosions to report but the headlines constantly stress the “risk of uncontrolled radiation” and this morning’s headline was, “Search for radiation leak turns desperate in Japan.” One of the chief concerns is that things might take a turn for the worse whereby radiation spikes to levels that prevent humans from getting close enough to perform meaningful operations and work at the nuclear site.

The other great concern are the hundreds of thousands if not millions of cases of cancer that will be caused in northern Japan if they do not bring this disaster under some kind of control. Hundreds of thousands of people are already slated sometime in the future to have cancer from this catastrophe but are they widening the evacuation to a necessary 200-or-more-kilometer area?

Meanwhile the all-clear sirens have sounded in America where scientists and everyone else pretend that the Pacific Ocean will protect them, but if that is not the case with mercury emissions from China and India why would anyone think it would be the case with radioactive particles? It has been estimated that 30 percent of California’s pollution comes from the other side of the Pacific! Fumes and dust from industrial factories, coal-powered energy plants and privatelyo wned cars in China are crossing the ocean and polluting the air in the United States.

“There are times when it covers the entire Pacific Ocean basin like a ribbon bent back and forth,” said atmospheric physicist V. Ramanathan at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, California. Professor Dan Jaffe, an atmospheric scientist at the University of Washington said, “So far, pollution has spread in the air around the world. There is no place you can put away your pollution anymore.” But we can always add to it and that is what this disaster in Japan is doing.

Health Food Stores More Dangerous Than Nuclear Radiation
The mainstream press is not wasting any opportunity and are dragging their experts out to center stage telling us not to worry and that there is no reason to load up on supplements. I kid you not—some are going as far as telling the public that the remedies people are reaching for in their health food stores could be more dangerous than the radiation itself, which of course is the most stupid thing I have ever heard.

Dr.William McBride, professor of radiation oncology at theUCLA Cancer Center was brought out of his radioactive nest by the LA Times to tell people not to bother to do anything to protect themselves.

“There’s no evidence, he says, that anything at a health food store or grocery store could really protect you from nuclear fallout. And in some cases, he warns, the remedies could be more dangerous than the radiation,” published the Times.

He’s all in favor of antioxidant-rich diets and the occasional bit of seaweed. But he sees no reason for anyone in the U.S.—or even Tokyo—to change their diets or take supplements to protect themselves from radiation. Even if the radiation levels intensified, McBride wouldn’t recommend nutritional defenses, reported the Times. We do know that doctors like McBride are all too willing to turn nuclear radiation on their patients to both diagnose and treat diseases, so we understand their need to consider dangerous radiation as safe.

Exposure to radiation causes a cascade of
free radicals that wreak havoc on the body.
Radiation decimates the body’s supply of glutathione.

This was all said in the Times article despite the finding of a 2009 study of pilots—a group of people who get a fair amount of cosmic radiation on the job—thatfound that those who took antioxidant supplements had less DNA damage than those who didn’t. And last week, researchers at the annual Society of Interventional Radiology meeting in Chicago presented a study suggesting that a proprietary antioxidant blend prevented DNA damage caused by CT scans.

Sergei Belyakov, an associate professor at a Ukrainian university in 1986, first sensed something was wrong at Chernobyl while he was on a fishing holiday and noticed that water levels in the Dnipro River were plummeting; a sign that dams upstream had been closed. It was weeks before Soviet authorities acknowledged the gravity of the crisis. Belyakov volunteered to be a jumper at the plant where workers had to leave when they were exposed to 2 Roentgen of radiation per day, about 240 millisieverts. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says a dose of 500 millisieverts would cause nausea and 1,000 would cause hemorrhage.

After sustaining 25 Roentgen of radiation, the Chernobyl workers were sent home. Many have since died prematurely. Belyakov says he knows of at least five other men who worked there who died within 10 years. But as many of them reach their mid-50s, it is hard to isolate the Chernobyl radiation as a cause of death, he said. “The action of radiation on a living organism is extremely different—there are people who can sustain that very well; unfortunately there are people who get just a pinch of what a normal human being would get and it would be lethal.”

Contemporary medicine and the world’s medical officials
do not want people to discover what individual differences
lead to greater resistance to nuclear contamination.

There is not one leader or scientist in the world who is getting up on the world stage to tell people what is happening. Radiation coming from Japan is entering the environment on top of a vast field of pollution. When it comes to mercury we have toxic clouds of it and mercury injections for children and anyone else who gets their yearly toxic dose of mercury in their flu vaccine. And we have crazy dentists who put mercury into our mouths only inches away from our brains.

But all of this is safe, so there is nothing to worry about according to health officials. Dr. Garry F. Gordon says, “At low (radiation) doses, the body’s cells are usually able to repair any damage fairly rapidly, and any cells that die due to overexposure are replaced. But if our bodies are already overburdened with toxins and heavy metals that are keeping our cells from functioning well, any amount of radiation is then a bigger problem. There is a lot more pollution blowing over from Asia than there is radiation.”

Simultaneous exposure to mercury and uranium
shows significantly more damage to the kidneys
than when exposure is to each metal singly.

Most experts and officials are either ignorant about low level toxicity or they simply are not being honest about it. They are even more ignorant about what happens when different toxicities combine. Dr. Boyd Haley of Kentucky University has been shouting out for a decade about what happens when you load up a vaccine with organic mercury and aluminum combined. Yes, when mixed together they are about 100 times more toxic than if given apart. The science of low level combining toxicityhas to take center stage, not just because of the first out-of-control nuclear plant in history, but also because most of us already live with heavy toxic exposure.

When it comes to this nuclear accident and the already toxic soup we have made of our environmentthe medical establishment does not want to discuss the vast nutritional deficiencies that are evident in the public and how that makes people more vulnerable to radiation sickness. When we consider that over 90 percent of the public is deficient in iodine and an almost equal percentage in magnesium we can assume the worst when it comes to populations’ vulnerability to nuclear and heavy metal contamination.

Nuclear Disaster’s Consequences Just Beginning
Countries in the developed world have less and less ability
to bounce back from events such as Japan’s
earthquake/tsunami/nuclear and now economic devastation.

Before we get too relaxed, let’s take a moment to learn what a nuclear meltdown is: A meltdown is the severe overheating of the core of a nuclear reactor that results in either the partial or full liquefaction of its uranium fuel and supporting metal lattice, at times with the atmospheric release of deadly radiation. Partial meltdowns usually strike a core’s middle regions instead of the edge, where temperatures are typically lower.

The main meltdowns of the past at civilian plants were Three Mile Island in 1979, the St.-Laurent reactor in France in 1980, and Chernobyl in Ukraine in 1986. No mention is made in the mainstream of huge nuclear disasters in Russia back in the early days or of how this nuclear material was spread around again during last summer’s fires.

chart of the day, corn futures, march 2011
Tyler Durden is already publishing that a Japanese economic collapse has been confirmed by a PMI plunge from 52.9 to 46.4 showing that the Japanese economy is already being devastated. Fast-forward your time machine into the days and weeks and months ahead. Nobody knows exactly what is going to happen except that food prices will be screaming up and the radioactive count of crops and milk will slowly increase. The press is urging us all to relax but the following graph tells a different story!

Medical Consequences
We have a significant and documented increase in
the incidence of type 1 diabetes in children
and adolescents after Chernobyl in the radioactively
contaminated area of Gomel compared to Minsk.
Heinrich Heine
University Dusseldorf, Germany

Dr. Chris Busby, the scientist who revealed increased radiation levels over England after the last attack on Iraq, has made a link between everyday radiation exposure and a range of modern ailments: “There have been tremendous increases in diseases resulting from the breakdown of the immune system in the last 20 years:diabetes, asthma, AIDS and others which may have an immune-system link, such as MS and ME. A whole spectrum of neurological conditions of unknown origin has developed.”

Dr. Michio Kaku has explained that radiation travels in food as well as through the air. He is one of many though who believe that the radiation from Japan is diluted by the time it reaches the United States so it isn’t "much of a concern." He explained that following the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, radiation circled the earth 3 times, and that we all have a piece of Chernobyl inside of us. Unlike Dr. Busby Dr. Kaku thinks little about the increased incidents of diabetes and many other diseases stemming from low level exposure. Perhaps Dr. Boyd Haley can set him straight on the dangers of low level exposures.

Personally I think Kaku is one of the smartest people I have ever listened to but he does not seem understand much about medicine and the consequences of low level radiation and heavy metal exposure. He is a physicist after all so we can excuse him but not the world’s medical officials who seem to be deaf and certainly dumb in the face of the huge toxic threat facing humanity.

Special Note: I wonder if anyone understands what I am doing and how I write. I am not like those highly paid guys who work for the richest people in the world, the ones who own the media, etc. There are highly trained specialty writers who know how to put a twist on the news, a slant, a manipulated projection. Well what I do—for low pay—is just the opposite. First I unplug their twisting and turnings and then I project the audiences’ consciousness as hard as I can in the direction of truth based on a full revelation of information. Everyone reveals themselves when they open up their mouth or put down their thoughts into written text and it is just as important what a person says as what they do not say. I tend to say too much but mostly because there is so much to say that is routinely left out by others.

Time To Do More Than Worry

As the news worsens from Japan we hear that the FDA has a problem declaring or warning people that artificial food colorings could be dangerous to your health. The Food and Drug Administrationconcluded long ago that there was no definitive link between the colorings and behavior or health problems, “and the agency is unlikely to change its mind any time soon.”

It is a fact that this organization exists to declare dangerous substances safe as is evident in its support for injecting children with methyl mercury, the placement of fluoride in public drinking water and the installation of toxic waste dumps in people’s mouths in the form of dental amalgam. We have made a tragic mistake and we humans are now going to pay for it in spades.

We have been insane in terms of using toxic chemicals, heavy metals and nuclear materials as a matter of course for the creation of our civilization. Yes we did exactly what the native Indians of the West thought we would do—soil our nest.

Things have gotten real nasty out there in the first world in terms of pollution and just about everything else. And now it’s going to get nastier. In the last video below you will see exactly where and at what density and altitude radiation of different types is drifting across the United States and the rest of the northern hemisphere.

Yet the cover-up continues. We continue to hear everything is all right and there is nothing we can do to help ourselves and our children maintain our good health with the increasing nuclear storm that is arising all around us. Authorities are totally out of their league in dealing with catastrophes of a nuclear origin and they are getting caught with their pants down.

In the area around the nuclear power station radiation is spreading but officials are slow to evacuate even after radiation levels exceed the criterion for evacuation. Already the UN is urging that Japan reassess the situation, adding its weight to that of Greenpeace, which has indicated alarm for residents already told not to drink the tap water, but not told enough about ways to deal with the contamination—and not told to leave either.

Orthodox contemporary medicine cannot bear the humiliation of being wrong about how medicine should be practiced in the face of toxic threats. It is really too bad that it is impotent as an institution and worse. Allopathic medicine is totally caught in a web of its own choosing, sponsoring what can only be called pharmaceutical terrorism with their own use of highly dangerous and toxic drugs as well as radiation for their diagnosis and treatment of disease.

They are not exactly the ones we can trust to help us cope effectively or even measure what is and what is not a safe toxicity. It’s the “all is safe” boys who are the most dangerous people in society today and of course we all know that Obama has officially gone on record as being part of this crowd. At least Obama fanatics can go back to sleep since there is nothing to worry about as radiation falls at increased levels all around them.

So tainted is the government in this regard that we are even starting to hear obscene reports that the EPA is thinking of raising the levels of radiation that are to be considered safe. This is truly hard to believe because it would be such an obvious move in the face of the nuclear disaster in Japan that is already sending nuclear fallout to all of America. After decades in the nuclear age they are suddenly going to change definitions of toxicity?

Bad News on the 30th of March
The radioactive core in a reactor at the crippled Fukushima nuclear power plant appears to have melted through the bottom of its containment vessel and on to a concrete floor, experts are saying, raising fears of a major release of radiation at the site. The warning follows an analysis by a leading U.S. expert of radiation levels at the plant. Readings from reactor two at the site have been made public by the Japanese authorities and Tepco, the utility that operates it.

Richard Lahey, who was head of safety research for boiling-water reactors at General Electric when the company installed the units at Fukushima, told the Guardian that at least part of the molten core, which includes melted fuel rods and zirconium alloy cladding, seemed to have sunk through the steel “lower head” of the pressure vessel around reactor no. 2. “The indications we have, from the reactor to radiation readings and the materials they are seeing, suggest that the core has melted through the bottom of the pressure vessel in unit two, and at least some of it is down on the floor of the drywell,” Lahey said.

Dr. Michio Kaku said, “The three most feared words in the lexicon of a nuclear scientist is ‘breach of containment,’ i.e. an uncontrolled release of radiation into the environment. It appears that we may be seeing this dreaded event unfolding in Japan.” He also said on the 28th that, “Radiation levels are 1,000 milliseverts/hour. This means that workers will come down with radiation sickness with only15 minutes of exposure. Some workers will die after 6 hours of exposure. The meaning of all this is: if radiation levels continue to rise, and one day all workers are forced to evacuate, the accident will be in free fall.” Dr. Kaku called for an immediate entombment of the plant after the disaster began.  Now it might be too late for that and will take too long to do it.

If the workers abandon ship, and the cores will all be uncovered, then that is the point of no return; three nuclear reactors may inevitably have meltdowns making a tragedy worse than Chernobyl. Time is not on their side. Already, a new 6.5 earthquake has hit Japan, creating a small tsunami.

Earthquakes, pipe breaks, cracks, etc. might cause radiation levels to increase until evacuation is unavoidable, then all hell might break loose.

And in fact today Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said that it was highly likely that the stricken reactors at the radiation-leaking Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in northern Japan would be scrapped. Setbacks continue to mount with nearby seawater testing at its highest radiation levels yet. Radiation leaking from the plant has seeped into the soil and seawater nearby and made its way into produce, raw milk and even tap water as far as Tokyo, 140 miles (220 kilometers) to the south as it simultaneously makes its way all around the northern hemisphere.

Fears are spreading even though the government keeps reassuring everyone that none of this radiation in the air, water, rain, clouds and food poses a health risk. Perhaps this incident is the straw that will finally break the camel’s back in terms of blind trust and faith people have in their government’s faithfulness to their responsibilities to look out for them.

Radiation in American Milk
More bad news for people in the northern hemisphere, which according to officials is not bad news at all.The Environmental Protection Agency and the Food and Drug Administration say that radiation levels of radioactive Iodine-131 has turned up in a sample of milk from Washington State. But federal officials say consumers should not worry. The dosages set by the FDA, including levels set for infants and children have not been breached by a long shot. So don’t worry! Drink your slightly contaminated milk!

The government is not calculating the fact that 95 percent of Americans are iodine deficient making them much more vulnerable to thyroid poisoning from the Iodine-131. Medical and health officials are out to lunch, asleep the switch or are just playing cards or baseball it seems. It certainly is obvious that they are not paying attention to the real medical situation and how to respond to it. Nothing they say in the press leads us to believe that they know what they are doing or that they will protect our families and children.

Impact of the Nuclear Disaster
Chris Martenson writes,“Aftershocks that may result from the world’s third largest economy, Japan is rapidly shifting from an exporter of funding to a consumer of it. In situations like these, we are by definition operating with incomplete and often confusinginformation, and events are developing more rapidly than they can be fully analyzed and internalized. Major world-changing events are now underway and your personal preparations for an uncertain future should either be completed or take on a new sense of urgency.” On the basis of the information contained here and in the past two days of posts, I am personally ratcheting up my preparations, making purchases, and topping off what needs to be topped off.

In this video we see actual maps of radiation flow and it is very apparent that millions of people in the direct path of the radiation should be purchasing and using items for detoxification and chelation of atomic nucleoids. This is a must-see video that you should see to the end for it shows without doubt where the radiation clouds are going.

Dr. David Lochbaum, a nuclear safety expert from the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), an independent scientific research-based environmental advocacy group, said, “We have to use a disclaimer that no level of radiation is safe, because the scientific consensus is that there’s no threshold to the carcinogenic effect of radiation.” Of course he too goes on to say that the levels that every Geiger counter can pick up, that scientific consensus claims is officially not safe, actually is safe and not a threat to public safety. You would think they would be smart enough to get their story straight but that seems overly difficult for mainstream people to do.

Surviving Nuclear Toxicity

Dr. Mark Sircus

What does radiation do to us? It burns the cells, kind of like burning down a house. It is well known that radiation burns our cells by creating too much free radical damage. Now of course this is like talking Greek to medical officials and professors because if they knew this they would be on the bullhorn telling the public what to do to minimize free radical damage.

This is important information because just about everyone in the northern hemisphere, within a short period of time, will have to live with a gentle radioactive mist all around them and their children. We always have been surrounded by radiation but increasingly so in recent decades because of all the nuclear tests and accidents and use of nuclear materials in warfare (God forbid they are using depleted uranium weapons in Libya) and, of course, the wireless revolution.

But now comes our worst nuclear nightmare, an out-of-control nuclear station belching out plutonium and other very nasty nuclear materials. Imagine it as a mist for that is what it is. If you can conceive of Geiger counters around the world picking this up you know it’s raining nuclear particles just about everywhere. Within the space of only two weeks radiation is being reported in a huge area.
Okay, it’s only a light nuclear rain so far but who wants to go out even in a mild nuclear rain without a nuclear umbrella? But for those poor unfortunate souls who live and work within 50 miles of Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant, it’s a downpour, and perhaps ‘only’ a strong rain as far away as Tokyo. Now we understand why they tell people to stay indoors, the nuclear density (rain) in an area will only increase the longer the source continues to emit radioactive particles. Staying indoors only affords partial protection for the contamination seeps through in the air, water and food that we breathe and eventually eat and drink.

They can only say that this amount of initial radiation is safe because biological entities do havebuilt in systems to handle very unsafe radioactive particles. Low levels of radiation speak about the quantity of nuclear materials, to their density, but not to the capacity of each nuclear particle to wreak havoc inside our cells by creating flurries of free radicals.

Free radicals are tremendously volatile molecules. When they are in the company of oxygen, they merge haphazardly with unsaturated fats to form peroxides. These peroxides cause grave, irreversible destruction to cells and the protective membrane linings that surround them. When escalating armies of free radicals overwhelm a person’s antioxidant defenses their health begins to burn down.

With the unfolding of the potential nuclear disaster in Japan, and the consequent potential for weather-carried radiation exposure in North America and the rest of the northern hemisphere, many people are asking what they can do to protect themselves from radiation damage. While most people are aware of the use of iodine supplementation to protect the thyroid from radioactive iodine fallout, most of the actual damage from radiation is due to runaway oxidative stress and consequent DNA damage.

This oxidative damage is due to a combination of a high production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) from the radiation exposure while the radiation simultaneously causes a depression of the natural antioxidant systems (mostly the glutathione system and superoxide dismutase).

Surviving nuclear toxicity is similar to the process of surviving heavy metals and chemical toxicity though the medical situation is worsened dramatically when even super low doses of high energy radiation enters the body. No one wants to be caught with even one particle of plutonium lodged in their lungs for there is no treatment that can guarantee it can reverse, stop, or even diminish the damage.

If you were to eat some plutonium-contaminated food you might have a chance of increasing the odds it will come out the other end if you were to partake of a naturopathic intestinal cleaning process that uses clay or some ingenious formulas that maximize the effect.

Once in the tissues it’s another level of cellular warfare that goes on between the radioactive particle, heavy metal or nasty toxic chemical molecules and our tissues and cells. Once any of these toxic insults penetrates into the cells themselves there is an array of defenses waiting to defend and protect. Obviously our cells need defenses in depth, meaning it’s one thing to protect the cell membranes and cytoplasm from oxidative damage and another thing to protect the nucleus and the DNA that resides there.

Unfortunately the rain is going to be around for a while though it will drop into the soil, our water and find its way quickly into our food supply. The radioactive half-lives, the time it takes for any particular type of radiation to lose half of its intensity, are[1]:

* Uranium 238: 4.5 billion years
* Uranium 235: 710 million years
* Plutonium 239: 24,100 years
* Strontium 90: 30 years
* Caesium 134: two years
* Caesium 137: 30 years (Caesium can be absorbed in food and water or inhaled as dust. It is easily taken up by plants and animals.)
* Ruthenium 103: 39 days; Ruthenium 106, about a year
* Iodine 131: 8 days

Description: http://static.infowars.com/2011/03/i/article-images/obamaradsuit.jpg
This suit is not the answer to radiation exposure though of course such a suit would come in handy if you actually had to work in a heavily exposed area. For life to remain relatively pleasant here on planet earth, we and our corrupted medical officials must become familiar with the entire system in the body that protects us from oxidative damage.

There is an antioxidant system that acts at the cellular level to protect sensitive cellular targets right down to the nuclear DNA level. It is not just the very popular enzyme glutathione but an array of enzymes and detoxification systems that work together to save our cells of oxidative stress when attacked by radiation, heavy metals and toxic chemicals.

Dr.  Chris Shade writes, “While glutathione (GSH) is now the darling of the antioxidant world, few people are realizing that it is the “glutathione system” that is important and that it includes many enzymes (e.g. glutathione peroxidase or GPx, glutathione reductase or GR, glutathione S-transferase or GST, etc.) and a toxin transport system (i.e. the Phase III transporters MRP1 and MRP2 that move glutathione-toxin conjugates out of the body) to really work. And then beyond that there are enzymes that link the glutathione system with vitamin C, vitamin E, lipoic acid, CoQ10, and thioredoxin, creating an interconnected network of antioxidant, detoxification, and repair activity.”

It is important to be clear thatcellular antioxidants, detoxification/chemoprotection reactions and protein repair processes are all part of one integrated system and we need to support the whole system, not just one part of it to be really effective in dealing with radiation exposure.

Contemporary medicine recognizes few therapies for radiation injuries. Good supportive care, of course, is recommended—lots of fluids, infusions of blood-clotting platelets, and infection-fighting antibiotics is thought to be the key for acute radiation syndrome, an overall poisoning that can begin causing symptoms days to weeks after high exposure.

To guard against longer-term harm caused by low dosages, iodine can protect against future thyroid cancer by shielding the thyroid from only one type of fallout, radioactive iodine.

Medical physicist David Brenner, director of Columbia’s Center for Radiological Research, thinks that, “Before you can start to treat people, you need to know what radiation doses they got. If you take a guess and get it wrong, you might do more harm than good.” This is of course more allopathic hogwash. We do not have to wait and depend on medical testing when we know that we are being subjected to increasing levels of low-level radiation.

Cells in the bone marrow and GI tract are extremely vulnerable to radiation so they need to be protected. “They overreact to what should be reparable damage and commit cellular suicide,” says Dr. Andrei Gudkov of the Roswell Park Cancer Institute. So we must create detoxification pathways that will allow the body to remove radioactive particles as quickly as possible.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency says internal exposure to plutonium “is an extremely serious health hazard” as it stays in the body for decades, exposing organs and tissue to radiation and increasing the risk of cancer. Increasing the risk of cancer does not quite cover the seriousness of plutonium contamination. It is simply death squared.

So we have to come to a whole new understanding of all this in order to come to grips with what we have to do in the face of rising radiation levels coming from a nuclear plant that was under-designed to withstand the predictable tidal wave that came following an earthquake. Human ignorance coupled with arrogance ruled once again to create a nuclear disaster of immeasurable proportions, since we have no assurances that they will ever bring this nuclear site under control.

Fortunately for the average person learning exactly what to do is reasonably easy and even easier to put into action. Anyone can learn how to set up a nuclear field hospital in their home and start treating themselves and their loved ones effectively while doctors and their superiors sit it out helplessly with their own families.

The officials and established institutions of the world would rather go down with the ship than to admit their ignorance and refusal to learn anything new. Sorry for them, but we cannot wait for them to finally take the necessary steps to become aware. We live in a dangerous world of innumerous chemical types of toxins and incredible exposure to heavy metals, especially mercury, and now to increasing radiation.

To get a bird’s eye view of the hurricanes of toxicity we face on the parts per billion and million level it is helpful to know that air pollution in major cities is seen as being just as dangerous to health as the radiation exposure suffered by survivors of the 1986 Chernobyl disaster. A 2007 study suggests high levels of urban air pollution cut short life expectancy more than the radiation exposure of emergency workers who were sent into the 19-mile exclusion zone around Chernobyl straight after the accident.

This means we do not have to be given any special permission to start treating ourselves, especially if we live in an urban center. In the world that is quickly arriving, only the intelligent and adaptable will survive. The ignorant and the stubborn and the human ostriches with their heads in the sand will perish and there is nothing we can do about that just like there is almost nothing they will be able to do to bring this nuclear nightmare under control.

Survival Medicine for the 21st Century, which I published four years ago, is in part a textbook in toxicology of low-level chronic exposure. There is so much necessary information to incorporate to get a full medical picture of the situation that we all jointly face. I intend to pull from this compendium of mine all the pertinent information and put it out in this urgent book Radiation Toxicity Syndromethat zooms in on the rising radioactive threat to our heath. We will put Radiation Toxicity Syndrome out at a greatly reduced price to facilitate wide distribution.

Four years ago Dr. Garry Gordon was talking about the existing situation about toxic metals and many of the common chemical exposures. “There’s no place to escape. Every leaf, every blade of grass is now provably coated with particulate matter, which comes from the burning of things like coal, and is carried on the air. So, the oceans are loaded with mercury. There’s nothing you can eat that doesn’t have these things.”

Special Note: Just about everyone who is writing about protocols for radiation toxicity is forgetting about the importance of magnesium salts. Magnesium is a crucial factor in the natural self-cleansing and detoxification responses of the body. It stimulates the sodium potassium pump on the cell wall and this initiates the cleansing process in part because the sodium-potassium-ATPase pump regulates intracellular and extracellular potassium levels. Cell membranes contain a sodium/potassium ATPase, a protein that uses the energy of ATP to pump sodium ions out of the cell, and potassium ions into the cell. The pump works all of the time, like a bilge pump in a leaky boat, pumping K+ and Na+ in and out, respectively. This is of course just the tip of the iceberg and I will write a full explanation and instructions for use in the next few days. Meanwhile load up on magnesium oilmagnesium bath flakesDead Sea salt and Epson Salts.

Nature Blowing Its Top and Bottom

Karymsky volcano rumbles away.
Nuclear Dangers and Treatment

Dr. Mark Sircus -- IMVA

Violent eruptions along Russia’s volcano belt are affecting global weather patterns and prices to boot, says this article by Ben Aris. Prepare to pay more for your flour and coal this year. Volcanoes on the country’s eastern seaboard of Kamchatka have been unusually active for the last six months,” says Aris. “The dust they threw up diverted winds in the Arctic, pushing cold air over Europe and North America and causing the unusually cold winter,” say scientists. “This string of volcanoes, 29 of which are active, could cause more problems this year, depressing harvests around the globe just as food prices soar, and culminating in a second freezing winter.” These volcanoes in Russia are not the only volcanoes that are blowing huge tonnages of ash and gases into the atmosphere and when you add them all up, the situation is threatening our climate and agricultural sector.

Not many of us think about what is going on deep beneath our feet but evidence is starting to pile up that our planet is undergoing massive changes underneath us. The quake in Japan from a few days before the most recent terrible one that has spawned a nuclear nightmare had already sent seismographs across the planet reeling into the deep black with some saying that the powerful force of the quake has buckled the seafloor off the far coast of Japan.

Earthquakes and volcanic activity are on the increase around the world signaling, to anyone who is listening, an intensification of earth changes. None of us though had an inkling of what the increasing tremors would bring, first to many Japanese coastal cities like the one below, bringing on a terrible war scale destruction—but also a nuclear catastrophe that is unfolding and threatening to be global in proportion. Letters are already coming in from panicking people on the west coast of North America where jet streams will carry within a few short days, what is being released into the atmosphere at the nuclear facilities in Japan. They want to know how much iodine to take.

We all know about the devastating tsunami that hit the coast of northeast Japan on Friday in the aftermath of an 8.9 magnitude earthquake about 80 miles offshore, killing hundreds of people and injuring many more. But 10,000 people are reported missing from this one town above that was completely wiped out. Nightmarish reports and photographs are coming in and it looks like a utterly devastated war zone. Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan is appealing to the Japanese to unite in overcoming what he says is the nation’s worst crisis since World War II.

Now the number is being revised to a 9.1 mega quake. The earthquake triggered widespread power blackouts and, to the horror of an on-looking world, possible meltdowns in several nuclear plants. The world is sitting on the edge of its chair as we wait to see what unfolds. A complete meltdown — the collapse of a power plant’s systems and its ability to keep temperatures under control — would release uranium and dangerous contaminants into the environment and pose major, widespread health risks.

Partial meltdowns are already being reported in two reactors with others still at risk. Officials monitoring the plant in Fukushima have said they detected a radioactive byproduct, cesium, that indicates that a partial meltdown had occurred.

Already as we wake up the news of explosions and contamination at one nuclear plant is flashing around the world. The explosion was preceded by puff of white smoke that gathered intensity until it became a huge cloud enveloping the entire facility, located in Fukushima, 20 miles (30 kilometers) from Iwaki. After the explosion, the walls of the building crumbled, leaving only a skeletal metal frame. Before the explosion, operators had detected eight times the normal radiation levels outside the facility and 1,000 times normal inside Unit 1’s control room. An evacuation area around the plant has been expanded and expanded again as the nuclear threat and contamination spreads.

Eleven of Japan’s 55 reactors are reportedly shut down due to the earthquake. Nuclear authorities in Japan have earlier warned that the Fukushima No. 1 plant, located about 250 km northeast of Tokyo, an urban area of 30 million people.

Kevin Kamps, recently in Japan on a nuclear power-related speaking tour said, “In addition to the reactor cores, the storage pool for highly radioactive irradiated nuclear fuel is also at risk. The pool cooling water must be continuously circulated. Without circulation, the still thermally hot irradiated nuclear fuel in the storage pools will begin to boil off the cooling water. Within a day or two, the pool’s water could completely boil away. Without cooling water, the irradiated nuclear fuel could heat to the point of spontaneously combusting in an exothermic reaction. Since the storage pools are not located within containment, a catastrophic radioactivity release to the environment could occur. Given the large quantity of irradiated nuclear fuel in the pool, the radioactivity release could be worse than the Chernobyl nuclear reactor catastrophe of 25 years ago.”

Kizimen and Sheveluch erupted shortly after the Japanese quake. Explosions at the volcanoes were accompanied by minor earthquakes.

Indonesia’s most active volcanoes also erupted hours after a massive earthquake in Japan that triggered a Pacific-wide tsunami. The 5,853-foot (1,784-meter) mountain is located on Siau, part of the Sulawesi island chain. It last erupted in August, killing four people. Indonesia, the world’s largest archipelago, is located on the so-called Pacific “Ring of Fire,” an arc of volcanoes and fault lines encircling the Pacific Basin.

We are facing dramatic seismographic events that seem to be gathering momentum around the world and lo and behold, our fantastic governments have not factored protection into nuclear plants—except for in two plants around the world, which have shock absorbers built around the reactors. In the past 12 months we have seen some huge disasters starting out with the toxic nightmare in the Gulf of Mexico, then devastating and highly toxic fires in Russia, then epic floods in Australia and now this disaster in Japan that is going nuclear in proportion.

The Guardian’s energy editor, Terry Macalister, writes, “I was down at Chernobyl two weeks ago to survey the cleanup there and it was certainly a sobering insight into how devastating an atomic accident can be. The Chernobyl plant is still highly radioactive—25 years after that accident—and far from fully dismantled or decommissioned. The nearby town of Pripyat lies completely empty. 50,000 people were evacuated from there and told they would be back the following weekend. They never returned.”

DNA and Mitochondrial Time Bombs

Uranium and other radioactive materials are highly toxic to humans, both chemically as heavy metals and radiological as alpha particle emitters. Dr. Diane Stearns at Northern Arizona University tells us that separate from any radiation risks, cells exposed to uranium will bond with the metal chemically. Uranium and phosphate have a strong chemical affinity for each other and the DNA and mitochondria are loaded with phosphate so uranium is a DNA and mitochondria deep-penetration bomb.

There are three things that determine the toxicity of radioactive materials:

Chemical effects – Uranium is chemically very toxic.
Radioactive effects (includes half-life and energy released) – One gram of DU (1/20th of a cubic centimeter) releases 13,000 alpha particles a second. One alpha particle can cause cancer under the right conditions and certainly it has the capacity to wreak havoc in beta cells and everywhere else.
Particle size – In the nano particle range (diameter of 0.1 microns or smaller) the particulate effect (non-specific catalyst or enzyme) is far more biologically toxic than the first two effects. This is why DU is so devastating.
The Chernobyl incident was a major humanitarian disaster that has resulted in a plethora of health problems still far from being fully recognized. Most studies analyzing the medical consequences of this catastrophe have so far focused on diseases such as thyroid cancer, leukemia, immune and autoimmune pathology, even though an increase in the incidence of type 1 diabetes mellitus, a disorder involving the immune system, was observed within the residential population of Hiroshima among survivors of the atom bomb detonation. Studies have also shown that thymectomy and a sub-lethal dose of gamma radiation induces type 1 diabetes in rats.

Along the Gulf Coast the oil from the BP blowout 11 months ago continues to roll in along with increasing numbers of dead infant dolphins. The beaches remain polluted with toxic oil and dispersant with unlimited tons of it still being removed. The basic cleanup of the oil has been made impossible by any known technology after the dispersant sank it to the ocean floor. Eight months ago it was Russia that was burning spreading chemical and radioactive contamination from previous nuclear disasters that had been deposited in the soil and forests. China had its own oil nightmare in 2010.

Thus it is not only mega quakes, tsunamis and volcanoes erupting in our faces but mega increases in toxic exposures that are coming to an already badly polluted world. Thousands of tons of mercury are put into the atmosphere each year and that is just the lead Panzer division of a horde of contaminants that are touching down on everyone’s cellular environment.

The United States government insanely developed and used depleted uranium weapons on the battlefield with the resultant blanketing of the earth with uranium oxide with its half-life of billions of years. And humanity is in the middle of an extremely dangerous human experiment with microwave transmissions and wireless technology with mounting evidence leading us to believe that this one toxic insult alone could do our children and grandchildren in from lifetime exposures.

So we are not only threatened with total economic and financial ruin, mass starvation but also with being poisoned to death. Four years ago I previewed our current state of affairs with the publication of my Survival Medicine for the 21st Century compendium of 300 chapters. The point is it already is a fight for survival that is getting more intense with each and every mega disaster of either chemical or radioactive nature.

It well past the time when we have had to become intimately familiar with heavy metal chelation and detoxification methods for both chemical and radioactive threats that already surround us. We also have to begin to prepare for even more dramatic threats that the media and our governmental controllers would prefer we not ponder on.

The beginning point of this essay is on what is happening geologically below our feet and how that is already affecting the agricultural area. In case you need to be reminded our planet is under stress with the entire structure in the beginning process of destabilization.

Japan is at the center being flanked by aggravated tectonic plates and volcanic trenches, pierced by super-volcanic calderas along its southern tip, and dotted with active burning strato-mountains of fire. That’s 55 nuclear reactors in harm’s way in Japan alone. Japan sits at the crossroads of 4 adjoining tectonic plates, the Eurasian, North American, Philippine and Pacific plates. Anyone who is assuming that life is going to be convenient or nice to us at this point does not have their eyes open. The intensity of life’s events is only going to increase from here on so preparation and caution have to be the watchwords of the day.

Please see my important essay – Treatments for Nuclear Contamination and the youtube presentation of Dr. David Brownstein talking about the necessity of high iodine dosages for the entire population. It will be out in a few hours on my blog.
